St Modwen Homes

Posted in Case Studies on 17th January, 2021

Due to the complexity of the work the project took many months of planning prior to its start date in October 2019. The A521 Uttoxeter Road is one of the main routes between Stoke on Trent and Uttoxeter and is locally very sensitive to traffic volumes during peak travel times. Works were carefully planned and phased to ensure access to local residential areas and also access to the new residential development adjacent to our works.

The lane improvements and new junction provide access to the new housing site and also the local community living within the Blythe Bridge area. The project was successfully completed well ahead of schedule, finishing in February 2020

Works comprised of:

  • Complex traffic management
  • Site set up
  • Site clearance
  • Retaining wall
  • Drainage
  • Footpaths
  • Kerbs
  • Roads to design and new street furniture.

Project Outcomes:

  • Section 278 works completed
  • Lane improvement and new junction providing access to new housing development
  • Project completed on time and to budget

Our commitment to delivering high quality, value-led and industry expertise to all of our clients is a key factor in our continued growth as a business. We pride ourselves on having a healthy order book with repeat business coming from our major housebuilder clients across multiple UK regions.
