So, we are in the final month of what can only be described as an unprecedented year for us all. But M&J Evans Construction has faced the challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic head-on and continued to deliver services to our clients with a strong focus on keeping people safe whilst maximising our productivity under the additional safety measures.
Our valued staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the cogs have continued to turn whether working from home, in our offices (when able to) or out on site. However, this couldn’t have been achieved without the right attention to modifying our usual work practices in compliance with the guidance from Public Health England and the Government.
Protecting our employees and our workers across our 100+ sites has been both a necessity and priority for the M&J Evans team. Following the announcement of the pandemic back in March 2020, our Operations Department and the Health & Safety team started compiling our COVID-19 protocol.
As with many other businesses, this became the focus of M&J Evans Construction and we successfully produced a robust response to the challenges in order to enable our sites to re-open and subsequently continue to operate safely.
Collectively, hundreds of hours were spent producing a vast array of guidance documentation, inclusive of site operating procedures, Safety briefings, and bespoke posters and signage for our office locations and the construction sites alike, to ensure that our workforce had a comprehensive understanding of what was expected of them and how to stay safe.
Thankfully, our efforts along with the great work put in by our valued clients has seen very minimal reports of infection, with any isolated cases dealt with swiftly to ensure prevention the spread or the disease.
With promising reports of a vaccine on the horizon, we are hopeful now that life will soon return to some level of normality and that 2021 will be a safe and prosperous one for us all.
